A beautiful and impressive waterfall

点评：Manthoka Waterfall is situated in the Kharmang Valley and is around 120km from Skardu.
The waterfall is easily accessed by road. The journey there is beautiful as the scenery is both interesting and amazing.
Once you arrive at the waterfall there are car parking areas. It was a weekend that I visited and although fairly busy, it didn’t spoil the experience for me.
There are tree houses overlooking the waterfall that can be rented to stay in. There also a large restaurant and convenience store, selling many local products and snacks. You could also take the opportunity to bring a picnic with you.
The waterfall is spectacular. You access it over a wooden bridge, secured with metal cables, meaning it has quite a lot of movement in it, which is good fun.
There are lots of photo opportunities. I would advise sturdy and ideally waterproof footwear as the paths leading to the waterfall and higher up the waterfall are uneven, steep in places and slippery. Expect to get wet as you near the waterfall as the spray is quite significant.
Despite its relatively remote location, for me it was definitely worth the visit.
