Lost City of Petra的点评
点评：Yes - a bucket list tick to another 7 Wonders of the World!!! Petra is spectacular times a trillion! We went on December 28th, 2023 and there were only about 100 people there - due to the war in Gaza we have heard that tourism is down by 95%, which is such a shame as it was totally safe all over Jordan. The touts were practically non-existent and we weren't hassled at all. Also, the animals that we saw were healthy and well, so don't believe what you read.
There is a comforting police presence and the site is clean and well-organized.
From the moment you enter the Siq canyon you know you are somewhere very special. We really took our time walking down the 20 minute path, drinking in the colorful, striated towering cliffs on either side of us, to the dry, ancient water channels and intermittent carvings... then, WOW, you come out at the famous Treasury!!! It takes your breath away and is almost a little surreal, because you have seen it in so many photos and in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (my husband bought an Indiana Jones whip on the way out!)
After drinking in the Treasury, you walk to your right and enter the outer Siq... then a few meters further and you see the magnificent Theater on your left! Another wow! All around you there are tombs in the cliff walls. We brought our own little picnic lunch from Amman and just sat on a rock by the Theater and just drank it all in! Then you walk a little further and on your right are all the Royal Tombs - really fabulous! Walk up to them and look inside! There are also washrooms along the trail which are clean, with flush toilets and running water.
A little further along still you turn to your left and go downhill to Petra City, with ancient temple ruins and colonnaded streets. It is all so fabulous! All total we stayed for 3 hours. We then got a golf cart at the Treasury back to the entrance - so worth the 15 JD's each. Enjoy, Chris and Elissa Vancouver, Canada

在Treasury喝完酒后，向右走，进入Siq外层……再往前走几米，就可以看到左边宏伟的剧院了！又一个哇！你周围的悬崖壁上都有坟墓。我们从安曼带了自己的野餐午餐，坐在剧院旁边的一块岩石上，把它全部喝光了！然后再往前走一点，右手边就是所有的皇家陵墓 - 真是太棒了！走到他们面前，看看里面！沿途还有洗手间，干净，有抽水马桶和自来水。
再往前走一点，您向左转，下坡到达佩特拉城，那里有古老的寺庙遗址和柱廊街道。一切都是那么美妙！我们一共呆了3个小时。然后我们在财政部买了一辆高尔夫球车回到入口处——每辆15第纳尔值得。享受吧，克里斯和艾丽莎，加拿大温哥华
