点评:We chose to return to Carlson because of their on-site lunch spot. We had a lovely experience picking apples with our children and another family. The orchards are easy to navigate and well organized. The apples are delicious. The Cider Barn opens at 11am--we got in line to eat there at 11:30am, thinking it would be easy to get a seat since there were multiple empty tables. A sign on the door said "bare [sic] with us--we are short staffed." We arrived at the front of the line 40 minutes later! We were able to give our orders soon after we sat down, so we were optimistic. Then our 2 Caesar salads arrived without dressing or croutons--just a pile of lettuce and some parmesan cheese. When we inquired about this, we were handed packets of Ken's salad dressing and informed they were out of croutons, but the waitress gave us some chips to make up for it. I overheard the server at the next table telling a man whpo had ordered a mushroom olive pizza that they had run out of mushrooms and olives. 45 minutes later, we still had not received the 3 pizzas we ordered. We asked our server (who had changed over during the lengthy wait) when the pizza would be out, and her response was, "Oh, did you order pizza?" We had to inquire again about the pizzas 20 minutes later to actually receive our food. They took 25% off the pizzas only (we saved about $7 off our total bill) but never verbally apologized or took ownership of the fact that our order had been lost. Yes, they were short staffed, but the lack of management and the lack of ownership of beyond sloppy service was uncalled for. I seriously thought of telling the people in much longer line on our way out that they should not bother, but I held my tongue. We will not be returning
