点评:This is a sculpture/monument created by the famous sculptor César Manrique from Lanzarote.
This wrought iron structure is eleven metres (over 36 feet) high and stands on a hillside at 2,000 metres above sea-level. So it is visible from some distance as we drove along the LP4 in the direction of Hoya Grande.
It is known as Monumento Al Infinito, which translates as To Infinity. It is rather appropriate with the Island's historical and present day links with astronomy.

Although there are lots of work by Manrique across the Canary Islands, this is the only one on La Palma. It was created to mark the occasion of the inauguration of the Roque de Los Muchachos Observatory in 1985.
