Excellent Rhum from a "young distillery"

点评：When I was told on the spot this place has been operating since 2016 I could not believe it - I have been to about 40+ rum distilleries around the world and this has been a superb rhum, especially considering how young this place is. The key here is probably the agricole rum approach as opposed to molasses, as you don't need to age it at all really to have already a nice fragrant note and plenty of flavor, of course they have aged options as well.
The tour is free, and so is sampling of their 2 basic white rhums, the 40 and the 55 - if you want to try the passion fruit one it's 500xpf and for the VSOP 1,000xpf - it's worth mentioning that if you end up buying a bottle of it then sampling is actually free - interesting concept but makes sense for a small batch place. If you like it buy it here, muuuuuuuuch more expensive to buy their rhums at the PPT airport!
It's interesting also to add that because of the excess sugar cane juice, as they can only process here that much, they share their juice with Manutea in Moorea - so although they are separate companies the Moorea rhum is Pari Pari's sister :)
For those who don't care for rhum, they also produce oils - most day trips to Taha'a end up here so something for everybody I guess :)
