点评：Given the production team behind HBO's House of the Dragon filmed a scene not too far away it beggars belief that they haven't filmed something at this spot!
The closest car park is approximately 1 mile away at Gradbach which is £5 all day. From the car park it is a fairly steady walk to the starting point at Gradbach Mill. Note: Don't attempt to park at the Mill as this is an events venue and private.
Conveniently adjacent to the entrance of the footpath is a small cafe selling hot and cold snacks and drinks. There is also a small block of toilets, which are very well maintained.
From this point it will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Luds Church - not actually a church but instead a mystical emerald green gorge. You'll pass by a huge Sycamore Tree which is super picturesque. You'll continue to meander up the trail until you are met with some rocky outcrops.
You'll walk down some fairly steep rocks to the entrance of the gorge and you would be crazy not to be open mouthed with amazement. It is a mix between something from the film Labyrinth and Lord of the Rings, it's incredible.
TIP: Keep to the left and you'll do a circular trail of the gorge and back to where you entered, it's definitely the best way to see it in all of it's glory.
Lud's Church isn't immensely challenging and so even those with minimum fitness should be able to enjoy. It is not however possible to access for those with pushchairs, wheelchairs or other mobility aids. Small and active children should be able to cope but there are some drops so extreme caution should be taken.
Whilst the trail is fairly access you WILL need good walking boots or other sensible footwear. Sandals and sliders are not appropriate and will likely lead to injury.
