No better value and selection of contemporary Israeli artists than Under 1000 Gallery! 6 stars out of 5!

点评：Once again, Under 1000 Art Gallery delivers excellent value and provides the best opportunity to add Israeli artists to your personal art collection. They have a great variety of both originals and prints, the pieces are very competitively priced -- in fact, Eliad (who is a mensch!) gave me such a great deal on multiple pieces that I purchased this visit that I accepted the proposed price immediately and didn't even bother countering/negotiating. I purchased an original Tumarkin from this gallery in 2018 that has appreciated considerably since that time and remains a prized piece in my own collection. Last year I purchased two pieces by Ester Mandelbaum, an ex-Haredim whose art sales help to support her transition to secular life so that she can remain independent of the life she wanted to leave behind. I have been eyeing Rami for years and finally acquired a very unique Rami original this trip that I can't wait to have framed when I get home. I also got a 4-piece pop-art series by Reznitsky whose edgy illustrations of contemporary social scenes are multi-layered and full of double entendres. This set will definitely become a conversation starter when displayed in my home! I could not recommend Under 1000 Gallery more enthusiastically; it is a must-stop even for someone just beginning to collect art or who wants to get a broad overview of the contemporary Israeli art scene!
