点评：Let's turn time back to another time in Australia where bushrangers were commonplace and the only way of traversing long distances were horses and trains... this is when something occurred in Jerilderie that was to place it on the map in Australia's history and it became part of our cultural landscape.
Ned Kelly and his gang captured the town during the raid on Jerilderie in February 1879 when they robbed the local bank of £2,000. Here, Ned gave his Jerilderie Letter to the bank's accountant for publication as well as printing in the Jerilderie Gazette. It outlined Kelly's defence of the Gang's actions at Stringybark Creek, but was not published until after his death.
The Ned Kelly Raid Trail is a self-guided tour of the 16 sites visited by Ned Kelly and his gang in 1879. With 6 of the buildings directly associated to the 1879 visit still standing. If you want to trace the footsteps of the infamous Kelly Gang then this is where you will do it.
