Long stretch of beach, lots of space and sand to build sandcastles
The Beach Littlehampton的点评
点评：Saturday 29th June we walked along the riverside pathway, Arun Parade. This led us down to the mouth of the River Arun, where this beach starts.
It also the home to Littlehampton Pier and Lighthouse with Harbour Amusement Park.
The beach stretches along the coast for over a mile with pebbles and stones towards the back of the beach with golden sand towards the water's edge.
There are a number of strategicly placed wooden groynes, these interupt the tidal flow and sand movement and prevent beach erosion. They also provide visitors to the Beach with protection from a sea breeze.
It was a rather warm day so a number bathers took the opportunity to cool off in the water's of the English Channel.
On the day we visited there was an additional attraction at Seafront Greens, which run along the back of the beach, which hosted the Littlehampton Armed Forces Day Spectacular.
