点评：Visiting from the UK and Australia, Vancouver Island had always been a destination we wanted to visit so we agreed that we would do it this year before we are all too old! We planned to stay for 3 weeks with the visit to Rolf and Sarah being the centre piece. We stayed for 6 nights and had 3 trips with Rolf during the stay, just to make sure we saw everything we wanted to and to get a more intimate experience of the island and its wildlife from a really passionate couple who were only too happy to share their knowledge with us and made us feel like part of the family. Rolf was really flexible, arranging the trips to take full account of weather, sea conditions and the location of the wildlife on any day. It all meant we saw everything we wanted to and in ideal conditions, just perfect.
Rolf and Sarah’s hospitality couldn't have been better, the food was great and boy did we enjoy our experiences, learning about the local wildlife and the issues and pressures it faces. We know from experience that wildlife watching trips can be hit and miss but we did manage to see everything on our list and Rolf made sure he gave us the most wonderful views of the fantastic wildlife the area has to offer. And no pressure from us either, it's much better that way. Just come with few expectations and leave with great memories of what you have seen. That way you won’t be disappointed.
It's taken a while to write this review, partly because it has taken so long to sort our photos. But also it takes time to reflect on experiences so thanks again Rolf and Sarah for letting us share your house and lives for a few fabulous days and for indeed providing us with wonderful memories. We wish you well and hope you can continue to share your wisdom with fellow wildlife lovers.
