点评:The trip from Arusha to the trail head was a grueling 90 minutes, part of which was on bumpy, unpaved roads but we thought it was worth the trip. The walk to the falls is not particularly grueling or technically challenging but proper footwear is essential as the trail is rock strewn, often muddy and slippery, and very pitted. One member of our party slipped while entering the trail (she was wearing sandals). The hike is about 3 miles and alternates between uphill and downhill. Lots of photo ops along the way and beautiful scenery. It took about an hour. There are many stands along the route selling trinkets and artwork but the sellers are friendly and not aggressive or annoying. That said, when we exited the trail one of our party attempted to buy a painted canvas from a street seller and was quickly overrun by at least 3 others who crowded her, a fight ensued and the canvas she had just paid for was damaged. My advice would be to make your purchase on the trail rather than on the street. Overall, it was a wonderful visit and worth the drive and hike.
