Our third visit went well.
Playa Esmeralda的点评
点评：We have just visited the Playa Esmeralda Hotel for the third time in two years, so of course we like it there. The appeal is that it’s adults only and in a location we like.
It is on the edge of the national park. There are uncrowded beaches to enjoy, along with the opportunity of long walks away from an urban sprawl.
We once again chose the Privilege Service for our stay. We got a seafront room and, as we are not keen on hotel buffets, enjoyed à la carte meals and service. It was worth it. You also get access to the Privilege Lounge for drinks and snacks. However, there are few seats and it can easily become full.
The hotel seems a few decades old, but it is well-managed, efficient and kept very clean. It is a very short walk to the beach.
One member of our party loves the cats that are around. A charity manages the feeding station just outside the hotel, and guests also bring cat food.
The only issues to report are that a broken lift in the main building took a long time to repair. That resulted in much demand for the one that remained in operation and long waits for its arrival. Also, we had heavy smokers in the rooms below us and alongside. Our balcony constantly stank of cigarettes, which we found unpleasant. We would have liked the option to choose a non-smoking area.
The entertainment was OK and staff members were friendly. We though Sofia was excellent — along with Jorge and Sergio.
If you are into hiking you can walk over to the west side of the island. This is a part of the island that looks like the Sahara Desert. I have just made a YouTube video about it.
So, despite changeable weather, we enjoyed another week at Playa Esmeralda.

我们一行人中有一位非常喜欢酒店周围的猫咪。酒店外有一个由慈善机构管理的喂猫站，客人也会自带猫粮。
唯一需要反映的问题是主楼的电梯坏了，维修时间很长。这导致另一部仍在运行的电梯非常抢手，需要长时间等待。此外，我们楼下和隔壁房间的客人烟味很重，阳台上总是弥漫着浓重的烟味，这让我们很不舒服。我们希望可以选择无烟区。
娱乐活动还不错，工作人员也很友好。我们觉得索菲亚、豪尔赫和塞尔吉奥都很棒。
如果你喜欢徒步旅行，可以去岛的西侧走走。那里的景色很像撒哈拉沙漠。我刚拍了一个关于那里的视频上传到YouTube。
所以，尽管天气多变，我们还是愉快地在翡翠海滩又度过了一周。
