A wonderful day with the alpacas

点评：After seeing the wonderful alpacas at Stubbs Farm on social media, and the fantastic love and care they get from Lucy and the team, I thought it would a great idea to take the youngest family members on a pre-booked visit.
And what an amazing day we had.
There was plenty of time to spend up close with all the male alpacas where you can stroke and even feed them. And Lucy and her team clearly have so much love for them all and share so much knowledge and expertise about the alpacas, so the grown ups were just as engrossed as the youngsters. They are such fascinating animals and certainly the ones at Stubb Farm are incredibly friendly and calm and love all the attention and stroking (and the few that are not so keen just politely turn away but still like being close.
There is a choice of experiences you can book which include walking with the alpacas, and meet and greet with the pigs and goats, plus painting and picnic with the alpacas too. And because it’s all pre-booked, the groups are small and so very informal and personal.
We finished our visit by meeting all the other animals on the farm (including the lady alpacas which we certainly didn’t expect) . Our stay lasted 2 and half hours and everyone had a great time. The children had their favourites among the alpacas and giving tummy rubs to the pigs was also a highlight.
And the weather was perfect too.
I would definitely recommend a visit (pre-booked) to any family especially with younger children and are guaranteed a very warm welcome and an amazing experience.
