Galloway Distillery - A tour not to missed
Galloway Distillery的点评
点评：Had such a lovely experience, easy to find and park. Great facilities and gift shop. The tour was really interesting and educational, no question was a stupid question.
The tour guides were Dave and Emma they made the experience that extra special.
The tasting was fun to be apart of, even though I could not drink as I was driving we interacted as a group and have opinions on what they thought of the gin vodka and the whiskey so it felt like I was drinking it too. It’s not just the Sassenach, whiskey, vodka and gin you learn and taste about you also learn and taste about Hills and Harbour’s vodka and gin, they are just as good as eachother and it’s good to see that they don’t favour one over the other.
If you are a driver you get to take samples home with you and a selection of mixtures so even though I couldn’t taste I could still enjoy them once I arrived home.
Even if you are there to visit because of Sam Heughan and Alex the (owners of Galloway Distillery) the distillery is just as worth while even without the promotional expertise of the Outlander star.
All the staff were friendly and chatty as a solo traveller it was great to interact and hear their stories.
It’s definitely a distillery that is up and coming and one that you should definitely visit if you are in the Galloway Forest area.
I was lucky enough to be on the distillery tour while Sam was there and he was just as friendly and chatty as the staff.
A very lovely and well organised tour, and a well stocked and variety of gift shop trinkets and bottles, I have to say I bought quite a few bottles, best for presents and my personal drink cabinet. This is one tour I would highly recommend!
