点评：We planned our fishing trip out months in advance, I was always checking the fishing tips, the forecasts, things like that but that's not why I'm not happy. I hired a guide, I spoke with him 2 or 3 times about how's the fishing going, do you think we will have any luck, are you catching keepers, each time we talked he made it sound like we would easily bring in walleye that would surpass the legal length, he said we could catch some 6 - 8 pounders. So a couple of days before we leave I ask him about the fishing and he said they should be pop in. Let's just say disappointed is not a strong enough word. Go into Merritt Reservoir Trading Place, immediately upon walking into the door, look to your left you will see a couple of post it boards with pictures of the fish that were caught. Typically those are recently caught fish, almost every picture on those two boards were from 2020. While out with out guide I asked him about that and he said they had a big fish kill in the lake in 2023. Don't you think he should have said that about the first time I called him? We caught maybe 6 walleye fingerlings, a couple of 17' walleye, but nothing worth $400 for a guide, the cost of the trip from Omaha, gas, rental car. I'm just extremely disappointed that we didn't find out about the fish kill until after we were there.
