Wonderful landscape. Cheapest tour but quality poorer than other providers

点评：The 4 day tour from Tupiza to Uyuni traversed the most amazing and varied landscape. The starlit soak in the thermal baths and the salt flats were perhaps the highlights but it was all so beautiful.
Unfortunately we were disappointed with the service from Valle Hermosa.
- the 1st guide we had was driving after only 2 hours sleep. The tyre was very threadbare. The car broke down half way through the 1st day. Luckily Tupiza Tours helped some of our group reach our hostel and looked after us very professionally.
- the replacement guide arrived 24 hours after our breakdown. We had been promised a tour of the local by the hostel owner while we waited but this never materialised.
- many promises were made but not delivered; no supper was provided after the vehicle broke down for the 2 people left behind, the wine and beer promised constituted 1 bottle of wine and 2 bottles of beer between 6, we were not taken to the train cemetery, we paid an extra 300B to add an extra hour to the tour so that we could see the wet area of the salt flats. We were taken to this area but the tour finished just after 11 and not midday as originally promised, neither of the 2 guides spoke English as had been promised, no sleeping bags were provided.
- we had been told that the accommodation would be basic which it was but the food (particularly at lunch) was very diappointing; it wasn't warm and not fresh.
- no compensation was offered for the 24 hours we missed of the tour
