Once we arrived, our guide Madhi was exceptional. From the moment we met him, we felt completely at ease. His knowledge, professionalism, and warm personality made a huge difference and elevated the entire experience. The itinerary was thoughtfully packed with unforgettable highlights, and each day offered something unique and eye-opening.
We began in Kabul, then made our way to the stunning Bamiyan region and the breathtaking Band-e-Amir National Park—without question, one of the highlights of the trip. From there, we crossed the dramatic and historic Soviet-built Salang Tunnel on our way to Mazar-i-Sharif, before flying west to explore the beautiful city of Herat. We finished the journey back in Kabul, feeling both fulfilled and already missing it.
Initially, I thought 10 days would be plenty—but time flew by faster than I imagined. I left wishing I had even more time to soak in the beauty, culture, and hospitality that Afghanistan has to offer.
