点评：2 couples we hired for long weekend. Phoned beforehand to ask a couple if questions and were told we actually could arrive a little earlier as our boat hadn’t been hired week before - bonus couple more hours. Beds are set up in advance to your preference ie double or twin. Warm friendly welcome we had an informative induction talk as we’d never been on canal boat before. Lots to take in but it’s all in handbook given to you too onboard anyway. It’s an expensive holiday but the experience is like no other we’ve had before. Would we do again - in a heartbeat. Route is suggested for you but there’s still freedom to choose your own as long as you plan to get back in time. I think Monday return of 9:30 was a little early but we managed easily as we did as suggested to us, to moor quite close to base overnight. Very dog friendly and no extra charge for one dog. Glad it never rained tho, I would’ve stressed over wet dog inside! Inside there is everything you need and it’s amazing how much storage and space there was. You do have to have a certain amount of fitness to operate locks as some were stiff. Steering is an experience I will never forget. Glad there were 4 of us to handle the tasks, would’ve been difficult if just 2. Although there were plenty of canal side pubs we didn’t really use them as it was nice to moor up and chill on the boat, debriefing on the days antics. Great memories made with nothing negative to say.
