Sigiriya with Rana!

点评：I found Rana through a Tripadvisor search and I am so glad we did! All the tours from the hotel were so much more expensive and not at all flexible. With Rana we agreed on a bespoke tour starting at 04:30 to climb Pidurangala Rock to see the sunrise. This was an excellent way to start the day, although many others had the same idea so the climb to the top was a challenge with the crowds but worth it when you got to the top!
Following this we made our way to Sigatia, Lion Rock, this was an amazing site to behold and the history surrounding this is truly awesome, and one NOT to be missed.
After this we went to Polonnaruwa the second capital of Sri Lanka. It is great to see so much of the ancient city preserved and the opportunity to get up so close is wonderful.
I think we packed a lot in to our day as time was short but give n the chance again I would split the rock climbing from the Polonnaruwa was it is a bit much with the travel included.
Rana is based in Habarana town so pop in and have a chat!
