点评:An incredibly well-maintained treasure staffed by engaging, animated walking encyclopedias, eager to tell and teach. Loved every square inch of the place.
Be forewarned, there is no dedicated parking—however, due to its proximity to Duval and other public lots plus street parking, car drivers shouldn’t have too much trouble finding spots close-by. The experience requires non-timed tickets both available online or at the gate in front. While guests are free to roam the beautifully organized shaded grounds, a literal pet sanctuary to the famous Hemmingway six toed cats, as well as the house itself, guided tours are available. The guides are amazing and extremely patient, entertaining each and every question. The house is full of original furnishings and memorabilia, tons to gawk at especially for the literature lovers.
Don’t forget to visit the gift shop in back, small but mighty. No pressure, stay as long as you like.
