点评：We ended up at McCafferty’s because Nancy’s Kitchen was closed on a Wednesday. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
We waited around 50 minutes for our food. I understand that the restaurant was busy, and perhaps they were understaffed, but I don’t feel that waiting 50 minutes for food is normal, even during busy hours. What was more frustrating was the lack of communication.
When I first asked the waitress about our order, she went inside and came back without giving us any update. When I asked if it was going to take much longer, I said we were happy to just pay for our starters and leave if necessary. Only then was I told that the food would be “a few more minutes.”
When the food finally arrived, it was nice enough, but nothing to rave about or particularly memorable. Had the service been better, I would probably have overlooked the wait.
When I was paying, the waitress asked how everything was. I was honest and said that the food was okay, but the long wait wasn’t pleasant. Her only response was “okay” – there was no apology or acknowledgment of our experience.
This was my personal experience, and I appreciate that busy days can happen. However, after the level of service I witnessed, I wouldn’t visit this place again.Good communication and a simple apology can make a big difference, and unfortunately, both were missing on this occasion.
