Odd damp basement

点评：This place is just...odd. Upstairs seems to be a computer lab for kids, and I cannot comment on that area because we visited the basement, which I assume is aimed at children too small for the computer lab, whilst they are waiting for older siblings.
It's £2 per person - so adults have to pay too. I've tried to write this review with the consideration that it's just £2 to get in - but if you have a few kids it's suddenly quite expensive for not a lot.
The basement is really tired and smells strongly of damp. Very steep steps to get down, so access is difficult if you have any mobility challenges. No toilets either - so if your little one suddenly needs the toilet you'll have to rush them back upstairs into the shopping centre.
When we arrived there was a room themed to dinosaurs, with some dinosaur models on the walls and a tuff tray full of dinosaur toys. Around the edge of the room were various fossils and items stuck to bits of tatty paper. Similarly tatty bits of paper with dinosaur facts are stuck to the walls in various places. Some kind of light projection/sensor was in the room, but it wasn't working.
The second room had two light and music boxes on the walls. Neither worked properly and there was nothing to explain what they were or what they were supposed to do.
The third and final room has three giant bubble tubes that light up with big controls. Limited instructions to get this to work, although my child did seem to like watching and playing with it.
I've given it two stars because we stayed for about 45 min, but a good portion of that was my child drawing a picture using a poor selection of crayons and maybe 2 pencils, which we could have done at home for free.
I left feeling like I'd been conned somehow.
If you have small children, you'll get better activities at the local library and spend the £2+ on a coffee.
