Great walking tour in Cape Town, South Africa with Kate

点评：I visited in September of this year, 2025, and had a lovely afternoon with Kate. We visited the Castle of Good Hope which was constructed in the 1600's by the Dutch. There was one exhibit I enjoyed at the castle. It was about all the various peoples that were brought into South Africa and assimilated into the indigenous population. I had no idea that this had occurred. Additionally, my husband enjoys military history, so he was happy to read about the events that led to the Dutch controlling South Africa for approximately 200 years. The Castle is a good choice if you enjoy history, but Kate will tailor the trip to wherever your interest lies.
After the Castle we went and visited some local artisans that took us off the beaten path a bit. If you enjoy art, this might be something to consider asking about.
And lastly, we walked thru the museum section of historic Cape Town and learned about important historical buildings, people and happenings.
Overall, Kate is very knowledgeable about the history, the people and the artists of Cape Town. In addition, she had a pleasant personality, and I enjoyed our time together.
