点评:We dropped by the Jack's Lake launch spot expecting to find a kiosk, but learned that rentals/tours are arranged by telephone reservation. By good fortune, Tim was there, happened to have a tandem kayak available, and made our day by outfitting us on the spot. The route itself was teeming with nature, and the mild current was thoughtfully in the direction of the return leg. It can easily be done in under two hours.
The tour and Tim's service were relaxed yet excellent. But we feel management should be aware of our experience on return. Jason was there, and rather than helping my wife while she was struggling to lift the kayak out of the water, he seemed insistent on listing all the wildlife we could have seen. This seemed to be a downer thing to do when we were feeling quite satisfied with our bird and turtle sightings. It quickly became apparent that his priority was to promote his separate wildlife photography business, and insisted on giving us his card. When this was done, he happily went about lifting all the other kayaks left in the water by other clients, who apparently did not arrive in time to hear his sales pitch. We have nothing against entrepreneurs, but it seemed like strangely counterproductive behaviour for someone wearing a Free Spirit T-shirt. Maybe help the customers first, then pitch your side hustle.
