点评:Our 4 day 3 night trip was truly the trip of a lifetime for me. I have been wanting to see Orangutans in Borneo for 20 years. Experiencing the Bornean jungle by boat was unique and indelible. One feels more connected to nature and the environment when experiencing it on a river boat. Building roads into jungles is invasive, so I think this is a better option altogether. Sleeping on the deck and being immersed in the sounds of the jungle is incomparable and something I will remember fondly forever. The meals were plentiful and delicious and the crew were fun, positive, attentive and made us feel safe. Of course the main mission was to see the orangutans, and that part of the trip also exceeded my expectations. Yes the incredibly endangered apes are being fed, which in the scheme of things is a good thing. With their natural habitat disappearing, it's important to keep the lucky survivors healthy and able to breed and thrive in their environment. It was a privilege to experience them in the wild, and to experience the jungle away from human activity. In short, as avid nature lovers, we had an incredible experience.
