点评:There are several ways of exploring the mangroves at Thung Yee Peng…it’s possible to sail around on a long tail boat or, if you’re feeling energetic, kayaks are an available. Payment is made at the entrance booth where the admission fee of 40 baht is payable.
There’s a large car park by the entrance and don’t be put off if it doesn’t look particularly well maintained. It’s also worth noting that by the entrance is a stall selling home made jewelry at very reasonable prices.
We chose to walk around the mangroves on a well defined walk way. If the tide is out the intricate root patterns are very visible along with mud crabs and other creatures. Most of the walkway is in the shade.
Occasionally monkeys will come to investigate presumably hoping for food. Take care if they have young with them!
Near the entrance is a small museum and refreshments are usually available.
Well worth visiting.
