Wanapum Heritage Center的点评
点评：The Wanapum Heritage Center, in spite of being out in the middle of nowhere, is worth taking a detour or stop when in the area, Admission is free and due to the support and agreements they get from the local PUD, they do not accept donations. The history of this area and tribe is quite fascinating since they did not even sign a treaty and they are here to stay. There was no rotating exhibit at the time of the visit, but the regular exhibit hall is quite interesting. The exhibits do a great job of explaining the history and as usual, there are some great artifacts and cultural items. They even snuck an old truck in there. The movie is about 20 minutes long and is worth watching. The staff is very friendly and are glad to see visitors. Being a quiet Monday, we were the only visitors there which made for a nicer experience. On warmer days, one can picnic outside and the views of the Columbia and the surrounding hills are quite good. It's a very well done museum and nice building. If you're into any kind of history, especially tribal, the Wanapum Heritage Center is a must see.
