Sedbergh Golf Club的点评
点评：Stopped in at The Fairway at Sedbergh Golf Club for a bite, and left very well-fed and very happy. It’s a lovely, clean little place with a warm, relaxed vibe. The big glass doors at the back offer a great view of the course—perfect for watching inept golfers thrash around furiously while you sit comfortably with a fork in one hand and a pint in the other.
There were just the two of us, but we didn’t hold back. One of us went classic with fish and chips: crispy golden batter, proper chunky chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce, and a generous slab of buttered bread on the side. Spot on.
The other went for the chilli con carne with rice and garlic bread—hearty, rich, and full of flavour. The kind of dish that warms your soul and makes you consider cancelling your afternoon plans just to sit and digest properly.
Sue, who looked after us, was brilliant. Friendly, welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. She gave the place a really homely feel and made us feel like we’d been going there for years.
The menu had plenty of choice, with something for everyone, and the prices were more than reasonable for the portions. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, stretchy trousers will be worn from the start.
