点评:I was so lucky to come here in October with some local friends. I was both amazed and in awe of the homes of the samurai warriors who lived here in the Edo period. We were on foot from the Sakura station, and were able to cross many neighborhoods before suddenly coming upon this one. Going through the bamboo forest steps through them was almost enchanting, magical. So quiet and mysterious. I was happy to be able to walk up these steps after a year and a half of trouble walking after a knee implant, I had no trouble at all. The homes we saw would satisfy any historian or Japanese enthusiast who loves history. They were set up simply, just as they had lived in the past. Gardens were very nice. Rooms set up like museums. I highly recommend this to people traveling to Japan. Getting away from the busier, crowded cities was also a nice break.
