点评：A safari can only be as good as its guide. And we had a great guide, Robert.
Robert is a very experienced guide, and his combination of local knowledge, keen eye, and good communication skills allows him to find almost every animal as planned. And once you arrive at the animal, the engine is stopped immediately in the optimal position so that you can take the best possible photos. Robert is a careful driver who navigates you safely over powder sand, along embankments, or through small rivers. If necessary, he will even pull an inexperienced driver out of the mud. Only when he hears that a very special opportunity has arisen does he race through the park at top speed. If you want to corner animals for photography or harass them in any other way, Robert is not the guide for you. His country and the preservation of wildlife for future generations are even more important to him than his income. That gives us a good feeling.
When you have a lot of peace and quiet, as we do during our four weeks in Kenya, you also enjoy getting to know the diversity of the 400 birds. Robert is just as knowledgeable in this area, and if a single feather makes the difference, he always has his picture book with all the birds with him to find the right name.
Robert is also always helpful outside of the safaris when looking for banks, shops, nice landscape, or planning balloon rides.
The lodges have their own area for reviews. As far as the safari is concerned, here is a small selection of around 2,500 pictures.
