Great little palace but there are stairs so those with limits to their walking check first.

点评：Went here for the day on the train from Verona. Bit tricky to find on the way from the train station although it was worse for us on the way back because we had to get out the google maps and walk through the back streets to find the station, although we had a lovely view of Mantua while doing it
After entering the castle, we took some stone steps to the top and saw some lovely art work and museum pieces and found out about the history of the castle. After seeing that you have to walk back down the steps and up another long flight opposite. It is one way traffic all around but you can see the sea beyond and it is really well sited along the lake side. Again, there was lots more art as you walk round but what we liked most were the occasional large rooms and the ceiling art which was beautiful. There was also a very long passage with sculptures on both sides, just a shame that after walking through this you have to turn round and walk back out the way you came. But it is worth it, again look at the ceiling and see the lovely art work there. After we came out we entered the main square and there were plenty restaurants and ice cream parlours to choose from. You can easily walk round in a few hours, but just a reminder that for those who have difficulty walking up and down stairs the walking might be a little tiring and there are few places to sit and rest. Otherwise, it is a lovely place to see. Just remember to know your route back to the train station afterwards.
