点评：Kolahoi Glacier Trek is incredible trek which takes us deep inside the forest of Lidder Vally and over high alpine pastures, as we venture towards the Kolahoi Glacier to get up close to this mighty Kolahoi peak. (5734 m) the highest mountain in kashmir valley
our trek itinerary is designed in such a way so that you can achieve best acclimitazation to over come the altitude symptoms so that you can enjoy best of your time.
The distance 0f 112 km from Srinagar to Aru via Pahalgam is covered by car and from Aru a distance of 26 km to base of Kolahoi glacier is by trekking.
The trek begins in the beautiful flower strewn meadow of Aru, and takes us through the rich pine forest of Lidderwat and Satlanjan (a shepherd’s paradise) to the terminal moraine of the Kolahoi Glacier, the base camp for mountaineers.
We ascend the ridge opposite Kolahoi Peak to gain spectacular views of the Kolahoi Peak itself, and then retrace our footsteps back to Lidderwat, where we retrace our steps back to Aru on an undulationg trail.From here we board the chartered vehicle/s and then take to the water with an exhilarating white water rafting trip. Our hike ends in Srinagar, exploring the old town or shopping at the floating market.
The trip also provides an opportunity to observe the Nomadic Gujars and Bakarwals who travel vast distances to enable their cattle to graze on the rich summer grass.
