Cairo & Luxor - A trip to remember...

点评：Brother Abdo
What can I say… I was so drawn into the Magic of Christmas, the wonders of Dubai and also just getting to see my family as a unit, that I had completely forgotten to make contact with Abdo (Egyptian – Tour Manager/Guide and co-ordinator) I literally messaged him a day before we were meant to leave for Cairo, he simply said YES, I will make it happen for you, and so he did, wow is all I can say!
Abdo a man of his word, came through for us and made Egypt a memorable tour, even though he wasn’t our personal tour guide we were left in very capable hands, Tharwat our driver, what can I say, Abdo, you have got to hold onto Tharwat he is a gem! Our luggage was delayed for hours, between Abdo and Tharwat they were so patient with circumstances out of our control, shukran for your patience! On New Year’s day we met Ahmed our tour guide, such a cool guy immediately we felt at ease with him, the children took to him so easily, very knowledgeable and such a people’s person! We asked to not only be taken to tourist destinations but also experience what the locals do, and between Ahmed and Abdo they made that happen too. We were taken to an amazing local restaurant with the best tasting kebabs (kofta) I’ve ever had. Our guide Ahmed introduced me to the most wonderful organic fruit smoothies, it’s a volcano of whichever fruit suits you, sold in most parts of Cairo, this is the length Abdo and his team went to in order to cater to our needs. One of the most important attributes of Abdo and his travel team is that they were always available, there were never periods where I was left in the dark, Communication is key and Abdo and Team you were just amazing in that regard! We travelled from Cairo to Luxor and in Luxor we were again in very capable hands, with a colleague of Abdo (Mr Khalid Abass), and another amazing driver. A very unexpected surprise for our kids were given to our kids at the end of the tour, they loved their gifts and it will be cherished forever!
Overall, we had a wonderful trip to Egypt and it’s all because of Abdo.
