Farmer Metcalfe ‘comes a meddlin’

点评：Both me and my partner visited Semerwater today for some paddleboarding and a bit of relaxation. We had an awesome time on our boards and a little picnic to end the day, however just as we were tucking into our lunch I spotted a very disheveled looking man peering over our wind shelter. I asked him if he was ok and was met with a very aggressive response about how we haven’t paid to be on his land and that he was the farmer. He then proceeded to show us a sign, which we didn’t see prior and stated that we needed to pay him and then proceeded to mock us for not seeing the sign beforehand. My partner paid the farmer and he swiftly shot off to his next victim. We watched him lean against a camper van and rip off there (paid for ticket) from inside there van to get a closer look. Both of us were very shocked by his approach, however fortunately was able to have a laugh about this. We did however come onto trip advisor to see if anyone else had had this issue and was relived to see that we weren’t the only one to fall victim to the dreaded farmer. We had no issue with paying at all, however both of us feel it does need to be better sign posted as the price wasn’t even listed. Hopefully he will use that money to get a much needed haircut and maybe a customer service course. Just a suggestion. Semerwater is beautiful though and we both love it, just a shame you have to be treated so disrespectfully
