Guanacaste Nature Tours的点评
点评：I had contacted Guanacaste Nature because we were going to be in Liberia and I wanted to go on a bird watching tour. At first I received an immediate response by email, very complete. I booked a tour with Charlie about a month ahead of time, and sent periodic confirmations (2 weeks out, upon arrival in CR, 3 days before etc…) to make sure we were booked. Each time I got a text confirmation. But then the day before things started getting shady. The day before I asked where we were meeting at 7am the next morning and got a response « I’ll let you know soon ». Several hours later nothing which I thought was odd. Then I asked at the end of the day and was told « I’m at the airport I’ll let you know when I arrive » which I thought was odd since ´Charlie’ is supposed to be in Liberia and how does he not know where we should be meeting already??! By 8pm still nothing so I called (no response) and finally at 9pm because I insisted I was given the address of a mall parking lot (!!) and told to meet there at 7am the next morning. It didn’t sound good to say the least. . The next morning I texted when I left the hotel a 6am then again when I arrived at 7am. Of course no one was at the parking lot and all I could get from ‘Charlie’ was « I’m arriving ». No specific time, nothing. I had tried calling but of course no response. At that point it started feeling very shady so we waited 30 minutes and left. A big waste of time, but in the end we saved a lot of money as we got to Rincon de la Vieja volcano at 8am where they told us that if you want to see any birds at all you have to go at like 6am latest. So that’s that.
