A lovely afternoon at a beautiful vineyard with lovely owners.

点评：After 5.5 weeks of traveling around New Zealand, we wanted to spend our last few days doing things at a slower pace maximum enjoyment, minimum effort. We decided to head to Banks Peninsula, and while browsing Google Maps we stumbled upon French Peak Vineyard. After checking out their website and seeing wine combined with an escape-room-style game, we were instantly sold and booked a visit.
When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the couple who own and run the vineyard. They shared a bit of background about the place and suggested we start with the puzzle adventure before settling in with the wines which turned out to be great advice.
The puzzle adventure was a lot of fun and perfect for all levels: challenging but not frustrating. And if you do get stuck, the owners are more than happy to give you a helpful nudge. Once we completed the puzzle, it was time to focus on the important stuff: wine. The wines were excellent, the food was delicious, and during the tasting the owner shared more stories about the vineyard and their journey.
We had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for something a little different.
