点评:Not sure why there is so little info on this place available and no Google reviews but I saw it recommended several places as a stop for Snaefellsnes with people seeming to imply that it was a quick stop and recommended so somewhat blind I just plugged it into the phone and went for it. What those people neglected to give was any kind of practical or logistical info so hopefully this will help someone. It’s actually not a place to stop and has no parking lot or any clear place to stop and walk around. Definitely not a quick 15 minute photo stop and move on and I was pressed for time with everything else on the peninsula. Just a one lane road that didn’t seem to be marked as an F road but was in worse condition than the F road I took to Kerlingarfjoll. With no clue how long it went on for and fog and rain setting in I turned around after 3kms and no end in sight. Just way too sketchy for my comfort level in bad weather. What I saw wasn’t that impressive either. Maybe if you just landed in Iceland for the first time but after driving the whole ring road a lava field is not really that impressive or different from ones you can see on the side of the main road. Would not recommend.
