点评：Located one and a half hours away from Baku by flight, Nakchivan has loads of monuments and Mausoleums to see. After while they do get repetitive.
But the Alinjha castle is spectacular. Located high up on the mountain, it’s a beautiful hike going upwards with beautiful views all around amidst the serenity of nature.
Built as a fortress and a treasury, the height justifies the purpose making it difficult to reach for enemies. The castle itself, is spectacular and absolutely worth the climb. The castle walls with the flag of Azerbaijan flying high is a site to see. Once you’re up here you can understand why the fort was built as a vantage point to keep a lookout on the territory.
This does not end here. There are still around 300 flights more to climb above the castle. Definitely do this, as the view gets better with every rising foot above the castle. It’s a site for sore eyes.
Quiet, serene, cool, and so historic, you can actually bask in this atmosphere for hours.
Like I said, if you can spare two more days on your trip, this is absolutely worth doing.
