Dishonest Membership Practices
Ashes & Diamonds Winery的点评
点评：I’ve been a member of Ashes & Diamonds Winery for the past several years but today have decided to cancel my membership due to dishonest practices.
Up until last week, members were expected to take 1 shipment per year at minimum, every October. This shipment provided membership benefits (such as discounted tastings and pool access) that were to last the whole year.
In April 2025 (6 months into the allocation year), they changed their policy requiring all members to pay for a second shipment immediately or lose access to their benefits (2x the cost). It’s basically a shakedown.
They could have notified plans of this in October 2024 (when deciding to re-up) or provided existing members a 6 month “grace” period to consider if it’s worth it. However they chose not to and immediately revoke membership.
What rubs salt on this is that the October-April, Napa is effectively dead (cold, bad weather) so not many people are even using any of their benefits. They’re basically shaking down their members right before the warm season where it’s actually fun to go to Napa.
Totally first world problems, but just beware that A&D does not treat its members well at all. Go to Hall Winery,
