Nice ferry service - albeit could be improved.
Phu Quoc Express的点评
点评：I'm not sure where all the negative reviews come from for Phu Quoc Express.
We took the ferry from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc.
There are several different ferries that travel this route, they all leave along the same wharf area, although at different spots along the wharf. Phu Quoc Express are the red ferries. The trip takes about 1.5 hours.
The booking process was a little challenging. I booked online and was then requested to send a copy of my passport and payment details. I received an automated email saying that this would be processed within 1-2 days and if not processed, the purchase would be cancelled. It took about 3-4 days and we received the tickets via email. Having said this, the ferry (for our trip - midweek) was at about 30% capacity, so I imagine you could probably just buy tickets at the counter - although I didn't check this.
The level of English on the ferry is relatively low, however not really required. You show your tickets when boarding and that's all you need really.
There is a small shop onboard selling some drinks and chips. There is a toilet onboard and upstairs an outdoor balcony. There was also wifi onboard.
We paid a little more, which gave us VIP tickets. This was a separate section upstairs, with bigger chairs and air-con. Definitely worth the few extra dollars.
