点评:Zagreus Winery is not anymore a secret, it has become pretty known for outsatnding quality, and I can totally aprove that. On our 4 day bulgarian wine and culture tours we have done a lot of tastings, but this will stay memorable for many reasons:
1) the willingness of all staff, from reservation on, to go out of their way for a small group! We had a small buffet dinner arranged for 6, and we got wonderful bulgarian food!
2) The team around Grozdana, who welcomed us and made us feel welcome even in the evening of their last day of the harvest, (which of course has to be celebrated). This team not only has very indepth competence about wines (I believe they studied enology in Plovdiv), but also has a genuine euphoria for what they produce and what they sell. We tried some of their „handmade“ experiments, and they were wonderfol. also the Santimenti was outstanding.
3) The quality of the wines we tasted was in the top regien. Clear, crisp, healthy wines, and all this with a biologic approach that does not allow to use anything but Coppersulfat in the winegarden. Bulgarian Oak for Bulgarian wine, and pride of what they make. Marvellous. The bread they served (and baked on the premises with ancient corn varieties) was out of this world..
Whoever makes a winetour here: Miroglio, Castra Rubra, Enira, Bessa Valley…they all are good, but here, they show love for what it is. And tis makes them Outsatnding. Thank you all for your great service and a great time!
