This is a rather dull park with few animals

点评：We visited in May for a few hours while traveling from Arusha to Ngorongoro. The only animals we saw were a few elephants and baboons, along with some bird species—but not many.
The scenery is beautiful, especially from the picnic site overlooking Lake Manyara. However, in recent years, rising water levels have been flooding the vegetation, causing it to die, which likely has a negative impact on the entire ecosystem.
Maybe we didn’t have enough time to search for wildlife, or maybe there just isn’t much left, but the park left a disappointing impression. Besides the expanding lake, there’s another issue—the number of animals migrating between the lake and southern Kenya is decreasing. Growing road networks and human settlements are to blame. This might be the final years of the legendary park once explored by Hemingway.
