A really lovely Town which conveys all that is Cotswalds
High Street Broadway的点评
点评：Whilst in the Cotswolds we decided to have a little tour around the area and stumbled on Broadway..
Having parked up in the town car park, I paid my £2 for a couple of hours parking and when the ticket came out, I noticed it was priced £1 (ie 1 hour) instead of the two hours I had paid for. Phoned the Parking Control number and providing details, was assured that the Warden would be advised and the machine checked for a fault. So far no comeback so presume I will hear nothing more about the matter. Full marks for Wychavon DC for quick reaction.
The parking issue summed up what is a lovely little town. The High St has some absolutely beautiful building. Many are built of Cotswold Stone and the are kept in immaculate condition. So clean, smart and typically English with shopkeepers who seem to enjoy dealing with a large number of visitors. A really smart main street with ‘independent shops’ which tend to carry things which are a little different from the big names. There is also a shopping centre which is quaint especially when you look at one of the notices which is posted and aimed at stopping dogs urinating within the confines of the building. Whoever wrote this has obviously had no involvement in the design of the building which has innumerable corners which would test the bladder of any dog in desperation – really made us smile.
