点评：From the very start of our interactions, it was clear Janne knew his stuff. He was very confident we’d see the lights and it was due to his confidence that we went ahead and booked a tour with him. He’s a lovely guy with a lot of knowledge and patience. Seeing the Northern Lights is often a game of luck and patience as well as expertise, and we trusted that he was doing everything in his power to give us what we had come to see (even though it was not within his control!)
We made several stops - a previous reviewer mentioned these were “random” but this is untrue - at each stop, Janne did many checks with his camera to see if there was any auroral activity. He was constantly scanning the skies even while making conversation and he was very alert to even the slightest bit of activity that might suggest a Northern Lights appearance.
Janne picked us up at 9.40pm from Inari and we spent 2.5 hours alternating between waiting, driving and waiting again. At 12.45pm we were rewarded for our patience with a brief display - it was absolutely incredible. But soon after the clouds rolled in and we had to call it a night. I want to make a point here that we would never have seen the lights if it wasn’t for Janne - he got very excited after spotting the first faint streaks that we dismissed as cloud. On his advice, we waited for 10 minutes in the same spot and that’s when the lights came to life.
Don’t book with any other tour company - just go with Janne. You won’t be disappointed!
