Talking Rocks Cavern的点评
点评：Great place for a family visit. It was my first cave and I only went because my family had this high on their to-dos. Abby was our tour guide and was a a very good and friendly guide. We arrived and bought tickets for a tour leaving in 30 minutes.
Two of us in the group sometimes struggle with claustrophobia but neither had an issue with it on this tour. The cave is well lit and basically one room so you can see where you are going. There are some slippery parts so wear appropriate shoes. I would also say be mindful of what is in your pockets as you don’t want to drop anything.
While on the way down the stairs there are several stops to hear about the cave there aren’t stops on the way up 100 steps. This was a challenge for the 70 year old (avg shape) in our group who had to stop several times and catch her breath upon exit. She was fine but the way up is a bit strenuous.
The location has a lot more to offer than just the cave. We did the add on mini golf which was a well kept, shaded course with interesting holes. The kids also had a lot of fun with the tunnel boxes. Very nice gift shop with cool rocks, shark teeth and other items in addition to T-shirts, etc.
We would have stayed longer to do some of the other activities but there is no food for sale onsite (only bottled drinks). Ice cream bars would be a great addition. There are picnic tables if you bring your own food.
