Relaxing and refreshing spa.
AIRE Ancient Baths Chicago的点评
点评：This spa was a unique experience. I was visiting Chicago for the first time and wanted a spa day. On seeing some negative reviews on trip advisor I was hesitant, however as I love water and there is nothing like this in Ireland I decided to book. I wanted to review in order to contradict some of the negative reviews
I had a 60 minute massage along with the pools experience. Expensive but it was a treat. The information given before arrival on when to arrive and etiquette within the pools area was very clear. This is a time limited experience where you are expected to be quiet and respectful. As it is mainly marketed for couples there was advice in relation to public displays of affection.
On arrival there was clear instruction as to how the day would go. I was advised that my order for sparkling wine and chocolates would be at the end of my experience, the lobby area had complimentary herbal teas. There was a host in each area to familiarise you to the facilities.
The pool area had subdued lighting and spa music. There were pools at different temperatures and 2 steam rooms. The pools were great and my massage was excellent.
The stairs leading down to the pools were not well lit however there were handrails all along,
The robes were not great and lack of pockets for eye glasses was solved simply by looping the glasses in the belt loops when hung up,
No towel supplied for when you are in the pools area but there is no need as the whole area is warm and humid and the space is designed for you to move from pool to pool and or steam rooms.
Overall a great evening, came away relaxed and refreshed.
