点评：We hired our bikes from Martin in Bodmin. My dad hired a hybrid and I hired a mountain bike. Both bikes were perfect for what we wanted them for. The hybrid has a more comfortable seat and an upright position and the mountain has more stability, chunkier tires. I’d recommend either. Lock, helmets and repair kits are included which was nice. The trail is pretty flat and very tranquil and doesn’t take as long as you’d think to get to Padstow from wadebridge.
Unfortunately We had an incident that when we got back to our bikes from our little trip around Padstow, we found someone had stolen the rear wheel off the mountain bike. I quickly called Martin who was obviously surprised that this had happened, as were we. He swiftly contacted the local bike hire place who were kind enough to fit me a wheel so I could get back to bodmin. Martin also offered to bring me a new bike all the way from Bodmin but this wasn’t needed as the local hire place got it sorted. Which saved his time of travel but was very grateful for the offering. We found Martin to be very kind, understanding and forgiving and I do feel very bad that this happened. Word to the wise, lock all wheels and frame to the bike rack.
All in all, I would certainly recommend explorebybike. It’s a lovely trail and the perfect amount of distance for anyone to do easily. And although I may have moaned that my bum hurt it wouldn’t put me off doing it all again.
