He single-handedly built an incredible castle in Belleville, TX. There is a small unpaved road that leads to the property.
The tour guide was Mr. Newman’s nephew. Lunch is included with your ticket price: turkey/ham sandwich, chips, tea/water, and Newman’s Bakery baked goods.
Weddings and events are available with a full kitchen for catering. The visit took about 90 minutes.
I was blown away by the construction and attention to details. Mr. Newman built all the magnificent light fixtures and furniture. The heavy wooden chairs used no nails. You’ll be in awe that he made his dreams come true in this structure.
There’s a moat, drawbridge, torture chamber, chapel, full kitchen, dining halls, and future rooms to rent. You can walk inside of his personal living quarters. Mr. Newman lived on the property with modern amenities for 18 years and is buried in a Bellville cemetery.
