Tour Trillo de la Danta的点评
点评：This tour was booked through our hotel: Tranquilo Lodge. We did the afternoon/evening tour, which included a hike beside a waterfall in the dark (not too hardcore but not for the faint of heart either). We saw several types of frogs, spiders, snakes and a tapir at night, with spider monkeys, innumerable birds, butterflies and fauna during the day.
Our guide, Alvaro, has university level education in local biology/ecology. He knew EVERY single plant and animal (genus/species and facts about them), and showed such a genuine love and enthusiasm for everything that he showed us: absolutely enhanced the whole experience for my partner and I.
This was an easy hike through jungle from 3-5:30, then from 5:30-7:30pm, a more challenging hike next to a waterfall and through a shallow stream (they have a variety of fairly good quality rubber boots to choose from). At 8, we ate at a local restaurant which served us an excellent pasta dish.
This tour was absolutely better in every way than the Corcovado one that we did a few years ago. We saw ZERO other tourists (compared to dozens in the park); apparently group size is usually 4-6. We would highly recommend.
