An excellent day cruise

点评：We had a really excellent 6 hour day cruise and would highly recommend this company to host you. In terms of booking the day, the process was easy and was helped very much by the great communications from the business which set out our options, how to make payment and importantly, where to meet up with the boat.
Although we weren’t overnighting, we did choose an AC option because we didn’t know how hot it would be on board (by having an AC boat means there is an AC in the bedroom on the boat (if you were overnighting you would also stay on this boat, hence the bedroom, which also has an en suite shower and loo); however, we didn’t need to use the AC room at all as we spent the whole day sitting on the top deck under awnings with a fan, just the two of us watching the world go by! Lovely. There was loads of room, and plenty of places to sit/lie down. What I really liked was that a big Bluetooth speaker was provided on board so we could listen to our music all day. That was a really great touch to have that facility.
When we boarded we were given a coconut each to drink and there was a nice fruit bowl and unlimited bottled water. For lunch, we opted (you are asked for your preference a day in advance) for the non-meat/fish lunch option and the vegetarian food was excellent, with a great selection of dishes, all freshly cooked on board by a really good chef. One dish in particular (a Keralan green bean dish) I really loved and have tried to replicate that since coming back to the UK. There is plenty of food, maybe too much so I hope the crew were able to eat what we couldn’t eat. For lunch, all the boats tie up for an hour or so when you eat, you won’t be moving. That was fine with us.
Later in the afternoon, afternoon tea is served with fried banana. Again, most enjoyable.
While on board the crew are very discreet so if you want privacy you can have privacy. This is also helped by the configuration of the boat with the upper viewing deck effectively setting the guests away from the main workings of the boat. We thought the crew were excellent.
Overall, a really enjoyable day with a great tour operator. Highly recommended. We thought the 6 hour day cruise was just the right amount of time for us. The backwaters are beautiful and very interesting as the backwaters are also home to many people. Would I do this again? Definitely, yes.
